Terrific Tuesday – New downloads

I don't have a card for you today, just a link to the new downloads released today. So click here to check them out in my online store and then place your order. One of the downloads is a series of chevron punches and a 1-page 12" x 12" template. There is a Bandstand Digital kit with an 8-piece brush set; 4 DSP patterns and 76 embellishments. The candid frames were popular, so now we have More Candid Frames and a 1-page 11" x 8 1/2" template. Included in today's download are also a Tag-it and a Christmas Collection Greeting Card Template.

Tomorrow's the DAY! We will be able to order MDS 2 and MDS 2+ in the download format only. The DVDs will be available later in the year once all the beta testing is completed and the files are perfected. Downloading the program rather than purchasing the DVD can be an advantage. No matter what happens to the program or your computer, you can download it again from your online Stampiin' Up! Download Manager. 30-day Free trials of MDS 2 and MDS 2+ will also be available if you aren't sure you will like the upgrades. Are you crazy??? The new features are awesome! I told you about my top 5 favorite new features in this post. Here are the next 5 things I am excited about:

    1. Mirror Text – great for use on iron-on transfers

    2. Font Search – Find a font by typing the first few letters

    3. Text Tracking – be able to adjust the horizontal space between the letters

    4. Crop Stamps and Embellishments

    5. Vector Stamp Images – this means you can increase the size of a stamp image and keep the image sharp.

I am so lucky because Stampin' Up! gives their demonstrators an additional 15% off the first item they order in their birth month. Guess what…I have a August birthday. You know what will be my first item on my order in the morning…hehehe!

Until next time…blessings,

Convention Swap card 1 – From My Heart

The Secret of Life cardSupplies: From My Heart (wood – 126555, clear – 126557); Early Espresso (119686), Very Vanilla (101650), and Baja Breeze (111352) card stock; Early Espresso Classic Ink (126974); Fancy Fan embossing folder (127751); Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003); Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon (122966)

A long-time follower of my Soggy Stamper blog introduced herself to me at convention this past week. She said that she loved my blog but is not into digital paper crafting and is disappointed that I have been focusing on that almost exclusively for quite a while. Thanks, SueAnn, for speaking up! I am rectifying that starting right now. I do create cards…not scrapbook pages…but cards the traditional way but just don't get them photographed and posted. My apologies to those who prefer hands-on stamping.

This is one of the cards I made to swap on the floor of convention. I purchased the stamp set because I love the saying "They say this too shall pass, they just don't say when'. I didn't feel that expression would work for general swapping so I used this one instead. To order any of the supplies you need to make this card for yourself, just click on the name of the supply to be taken to that item in my online store.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. Come visit often as I will be posting swap cards over the next few weeks.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

MDS 2 sneak peek

Terrific Tuesday-001
Supplies: MDS 2 (download – 130644, disc – 139645) or upgrade to MDS 2 (130650), Modern Label Punch (comes with Punch Shapes – 118853), Bandstand Designer Kit (came with Color Me Creative convention DVD)

I'm still having fun with MDS 2! Today I'm giving you another sneak peek at one of the new features. This one is the ability to color stamps individually. The pennants were all black. By using a coloring tool, I could color each of the pennants a different color. You can even change the size of the coloring tool so coloring the string was easy. The best thing is that you can even color outside the lines!!! As long as you don't color onto another part of the stamp, the color does not appear on the background, just the stamp. Yay! The picture is of me and my Stampin' Up! convention roommates. Left to right: me, Ruthie Burkey, Michelle Montague, Brenda Blum

Aug 1 is coming!!! Oh be patient, my heart!

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – Collor Me Creative

MDS Monday 7-23-12-001 copy
Supplies: MDS2 (download available Aug 1) Color Me Creative stamp brush set (from Color Me Creative Convention DVD)

At the Stampin' Up! convention this past week, I took the 'I Am Digital' optional class Wednesday night. In the process of installing a 30-day trial DVD of MDS2 and the Color Me Creative Convention DVD, I lost access to my regular MDS software. So…I had to use the new MDS2 to create this scrapbook page…oh darn!!! :o) I love the Color Me Creative stamp brush set because of the quotes. The big photo is one of the photos used as wallpaper on the big screens in the main stage room. I love the feelings exhibited in those photos. The smaller photos give you a small glimpse of some of the wonderful projects displayed for our inspiration.

I had a wonderful time at convention and would love to have you come with me next year. How can you do that, you ask? By joining my team of Stampin' Up! business owners. If you have been frustrated by having your work hours set for you or by the struggle of balancing work with family responsibilities, owning your own business may be the answer. The feeling of being your own boss and being able to set your own hours and goals is quite powerful and freeing. Contact me so we can discuss how your needs can be met with a Stampin' Up! business.

Until next time…blessings,

MDS2 Release Confirmation Today!

B1_MDS2_Demo_May0112_USCA

Here is the latest scoop from the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City! Today Sara Douglass confirmed that MDS2 will be released for purchase on August 1. There will be a few features that will not be included as the beta checking for them is not completed and there may be bugs not yet worked out. As these features are completed, we will get free updates. Wednesday night I got to play with the new MDS2+. It is so exciting. I will be purchasing the complete program for $79.95 even though I have the full MDS program now because the MDS2+ has $500 worth of new digital content. The $19.95 upgrade does not include the new content, just the new changes to the software.

Here are my top 5 favorite new features:

1.  Watermark Option – change the color to white and opacity to 10% with just one click.

2.  Supply list – View a list of items used on a page.

3.  Text on a path – Add text to any line style to create your own curvy verses.

4.Global Search – Simultaneously search across content types -stamps,punches,embellishments

5.  Color in stamps!

Stay tuned for the next 5 new features.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – Wonderful Whimsies

MDS Monday 7-16-12-001 copy
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or 30-day Free trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600); Wonderful Whimsies Designer Series Paper (130968); Elementary Elegance Stamp Brush Set, Decorative Label Punch (123951); More Mustard Brads (118847)

Welcome to My Digital Studio Monday. If you are coming here from a link on the Utah Divas International blog, click here for the scrapbook page on today's post.I actually posted that page last Thursday but accidentally sent it in for My Digital Studio Monday.

On this card I used the beautiful Wonderful Whimsies Designer Series Paper which was one of the new downloads available last Tuesday. I love the colors and softness of the designs. I used my favorite Decorative Label Punch to create the line between the two designs of paper. I apologize for not knowing how I got the Elementary Elegance Stamp Brush Set. It isn't in the online catalog and I suspect it came along with one of the designer kits. When I find out, I will let you all know.

Tomorrow I travel the last leg of my trip to Salt Lake City and convention. My first class at convention is Wednesday night and it is a class using My Digital Studio. I will be sure to share some of the things I learn with you so stay tuned.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

P.S. I just found out that the Elementary Elegance Stamp Brush Set is from a Sale-a-bration DVD and is therefore retired. This is a good reason to get those DVDs when you can.

Terrific Tuesday – Everything Eleanor

Everything Eleanor page-001 copy
I I have just a quick post for you today. We are on the road in our 5th wheel trailer on our way to Salt Lake City and the Stampin' Up! convention. We stopped last night at LaGrande, Oregon. I wanted to show you one of the new downloads I purchased on Tuesday…Terrific Tuesday. I was so happy that the Everything Eleanor stamp set is now in digital form. I originally didn't think I would like this set but have fallen in love with it. I also used a Vintage Overlay stamp brush set to provide testure to the background. Click here to see the new downloads and order those you like.

I appreciate you stopping by to visit. Do come again. I'll be posting things from convention next week as well as my regularly scheduled posts.

Until next time…blessings,

Now I challenge you to create a card or scrapbook page using these same colors. Email your creation to me and I'll post it on my blog. Let's see how many variations we can get. I look forward to your creations!

Tomorrow is Terrific Tuesday. Come back and see what I decided to purchase from the new downloads.
