Gratitude Frameable Wall Art

Thanksgiving SB page-001
Supplies: MDS2+ (130646), MDS2 (130644), MDS2 upgrade (130650), or 30-day FREE trial of MDS2 (130910);background – Cherry Cobbler card stock; punches – 1.25" square (comes with MDS2)filled with pattern 2 of (131220) Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper, (129924) Get It Done Digital Kit – punch 2; stamp – Basic Black Texture which comes with the original MDS disc

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this day after Thanksgiving. Have you already been out capturing those great Black Friday specials? Then it is time to sit back with a cup of hot cocoa, coffee or tea and browse my projects.

Inspiration comes to me from a lot of sources. Today, I read this quote on and immediately knew I needed to create a piece of frameable wall art for the quote. Since it refers to a present and since Christmas is coming up way faster than I am ready for it, I decided to use this Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper for the background of the project. I used the Get It Done – 2 punch to frame the quote as it looks elegant to match the dsp. I typed the quote with the Apple Chauncery font and size 40. I usually add a slightly larger second punch behind the first one to make a border. This time I noticed that there is an option to add a mat to the punch which saves a lot of fussing! I don't know why I haven't noticed that before now.

Before I close, I want to remind you of a couple of things. First, MDS2 and MDS2+ are 50% off through Nov 28. If you haven't purchased this yet, click here to do so! As part of the Online Extravaganza, I am making a Christmas ornament for everyone who places an online order Nov 19 – Nov 28.

The second thing is that the DVD version of MDS2 will be available for purchase beginning Nov 29.

Until next time…blessings,

Happy Thanksgiving

Grateful Heart Thanksgiving card 2012-001
Supplies: MDS2+ (130646), MDS2 (130644), MDS2 upgrade (130650), or 30-day FREE trial of MDS2 (130910); Background- crumb cake; Stamps – (comes with MDS disc) Basic Black Texture, (127620) Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Ensemble – family & friends, branch, berries, border 1; embellishment – (131329) Timeless Taffeta TrimmingsReal Red long bow cropped and recolored with Pumpkin Pie

On Saturday night I fried my computer so I haven't been able to post for a while. Yesterday the tech person at school was able to miraculously resurrect the computer so I am good to go again. I hope you have had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. We went over to a friend's home for dinner and now are feeling the effects of over-eating and the tryptophane in the turkey is making us struggle to stay awake. Nap time except it is 6:30 pm, much to early to go to bed and too late for a nap.

I created this card for you using many elements from the GratefulHearts Thanksgiving Ensemble. The Happy Thanksgiving is in two text boxes using the Handwriting – Dakota font, size 36. I added the bow at the top and recolored it with Pumpkin Pie and cropped off one of the ends slightly. I love that we can do these things with the new MDS2+ program.

Before I close, let me remind you of Stampin' Up!'s Online Extravaganza. There are bargains to be found of up to 50% off. This is the perfect time to find a great gift for your stamping friends. Check out the specials in my online store. Place an order through Nov 28 to not only save money but also receive a hand-made ornament from me.

Until next time…blessings,

Stampin' Up! is rocking and rolling this month with all kinds of specials and new products! This does not do die cuts but might do the Framelits and definitely does a great job of dry embossing card stock. Click this link for more information Download Textured Boutique flyer. Since there are only 4000 and it is while quantities last, rush over to my online store and get your's while you can. The other new item is Talking Tags. This is even cooler than ice cream! Remember the recordable cards you could buy at Hallmark and the blank ones you can buy in the 2012-2013 catalog? They are a little bulky to mail and take extra postage. Now you can buy the Talking Tags and record a 60 sec message on them. You peel the label off, put it in your card or on a scrapbook page and then record your message using a free app for your i-phone or android phone. The directions for listening to the message are on the label so your recipient can listen to what you have said. The recording will last for up to 2 years and can be listened to over and over again. Imagine…no more hand writing out journaling to explain a photo! They are available to order now. The price is $7.95 for 10 labels and the item number is 129723. Here is a link to a larger copy of the flyer Download TalkingTags_Flyer_NA

Veteran’s Day 2012

Veteran's Day 2012-001

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper this Veteran's Day 2012. In honor and appreciation of all the veterans and military serving our country, I created this 12 x 12 page scrapbook page using MDS2. I didn't use any special stamps or backgrounds other than the Night of Navy card stock. The flag picture is one I got from the Chicago Tribune photogallery and filled into the 1.25 square punch. The men in the photos are Ron's father Norris Erickson who served in the Army during WW1, his brother Ed Erickson who flew planes for the Marines in WWII, our son-in-law Joseph Johnson who served active duty in the Air Force and now works in the Air National Guard, our grandson Brandon Johnson who is in the Air National Guard, and our grandson Nathaniel Johnson who is on active duty with the Army in Germany.

Our country owes a big debt to all those who have served in our military and continue to do so to protect our freedoms. Grateful thanks to them and their families for their sacrifices.

Thanks for stopping by today. Do come back tomorrow for Terrific Tuesday and see what great downloads, Stampin' Up! has for us.

Until next time…blessings,

Snow Flurry Ornament

Snow Flurry ornament

Supplies: Snowflake Flurry Bigz Die (127813), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Floral Frames Framelits Dies (127012), Linen Thread (104199), Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (126847), Silver Glimmer Paper (124005)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper blog this Saturday afternoon. I made this ornament a few days ago based on an ornament Kirsteen Gill shared at least a month ago. I changed out her Whisper White frame for a Midnight Muse one. I didn't use as many pieces as others have used as I was mostly experimenting with the pattern. One thing I learned is that Two-Way glue does not work for the Glimmer paper! I resorted to using glue dots but wonder if the Green-topped Multipurpose glue would have worked better. I'm thinking of making a similar one with the Maple leaf from the Autumn Accents die and the Champagne Glimmer paper. I'll post a picture of it when I do get it made.

Thanks for coming to visit today. There are only five weeks left of my gift of the 12 Weeks of Christmas I have given my newsletter subscribers. Each Wednesday for 12 weeks I am sending an email to them with an exclusive project. While you have missed out on the first 6 projects, it isn't too late to get in on the rest. Subscribe now by filling in the box to the right. Be sure to respond to the email I will send confirming your subscription.

Until next time…blessing and happy stamping,

Enjoying Everyting Kit Again

Enjoying Everything scrapbook page

Supplies: MDS2+ (130646), MDS2 (130644), MDS2 upgrade (130650), or 30-day FREE trial of MDS2 (130910); Enjoying Everything Kit (132557); Tasteful Trim Shape 2 Punch (123997); Medium, Small, and Tall Heart Punch from Punch Shapes (118853) also comes with MDS2 and the original MDS software; Basic Pearls and Rhinestones (124330)

In this post, I shared a card I created using the beautiful free download Enjoying Everything Digital Kit. I used the digital kit again to make this scrapbook page featuring our youngest great-granddaughter with the most hilarious face. Her picture makes me smile every time I look at it. I used several of the new features in MDS2. First I used the color picker to recolor the Enjoying Everything Designer Series Paper, embellishments, text, and to fill the Tasteful Trim Shape 2 Punches with colors from the photo. It's wonderful to be able to customize everything to your photo! I also used the ability to attach text to a shaped line with the title.

Thanks for coming by today to visit My Digital Craft Corner. I hope you will grab a cup of coffee or tea and take some time to browse through the project I have shared with you. If you like what you see, subscribe to my newsletter by filling out the box on the right and by going to my Facebook page and 'liking' it.

Versatility of MDS2

Daydream Medallions card-001

MDS2 is so versatile that you can very often create a digital version of a traditional card that is so realistic that you have to touch it to realize that it is a digital card. Yesterday I posted two cards, one traditional and a copy that was digital. You can see the comparison of the two here. I have so much fun playing with MDS2 and challenging myself to do things digitally that I would do traditionally. If you haven't tried MDS2 yet, what are you waiting for? I know some people love getting their hands inky and sticky with glue and love having a cluttered work space…I know you…because I am one of them.

However, I also love digital crafting because I can leave that messy workspace behind and have everything I need and more right at my fingertips. If I need a particular stamp brush which I don't have, all I have to do is go online to place my order for it. In a few minutes I have downloaded and am ready to use it. I don't have to waith for it to come by mail. When I am finished with a project, there is no cleaning up necessary. Perfect!

So click here to give MDS2 a free 30-day trial. You can order downloads from me during the 30 days and you can send off projects to be printed during this time. If you find you love MDS2, you can then purchase it and all your projects you have created will be transferred over to the purchased program automatically. You just need to be sure to order the purchased program before the 30 days actually end to save the work you have done. Click here to get the free trial. I'm always ready to help you get started.

Until next time…blessings,
