Holiday Mini Swap – Googly Ghouls

Witch and Circles 2Here is another Halloween card using the Googly Ghouls stamp set. It was created by Jane Hignite. I love the way she ran the background with the circles through the polka dot embossing folder. The witch was heat embossed with Wild Wasabi embossing powder. Wisteria Wonder ruffled grograin ribbon finishes off the card. Jane used black, wild wasabi, tangerine tango, wisteria wonder, and very vanilla card stock.

Participating in swaps is a great way to get a variety of ideas. If you have a chance to participate in one, by all means do so. I'll 'see ' you tomorrow with more of the swap cards I received. Should you have any questions on how to make them or the measurements of each layer, just drop me an email and I'll get them to you.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

Terrific Tuesday – Wherever You Go

Where ever you Go-001Supplies: MDS2+ (130646), MDS2 (130644), MDS2 upgrade (130650), or 30-day FREE trial of MDS2 (130910); background – Crumb Cake; embellishmets – Basic Pearls and rhinestones (124330); stamp sets – Vintage Overlay (121061) and Wherever You Go (131514); punch – Beautiful Butterfly Shapes 1 (124412)

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday…well, here in SE Alaska it is still Tuesday! I ordered the stamp brush set Wherever You Go because I can see using it on a graduation card for my oldest granddaughter when she graduates from high school. I chose this saying from the set to make this cheery card. The stamp lends itself well to being colored with the coloring tool of MDS2. I originally had the stamp in white and couldn't figure out why it didn't appear in the coloring window. Duh…the stamp was white and the background was white. I had to have the stamp in black and then paint the words white. A beautiful thing about the coloring tool is that you can color outside the lines and it won't show. You just have to be careful to not color into another section of the stamp. If that happens, then you have to color over the mistake with the correct color. There is no erase tool in the part of the program where the coloring tool is. I can see me using this download a lot. Here is the index of the stamp brush set:

Welcome to my blog today. I wanted to feature one of the Designer Template digital downloads and how you can customize them with just a few changes of color or wording. This Celebrate Any Day Greeting Card Templates kit has cards already designed for a variety of occasions. It also has a 24 piece svg stamp brush set and 15 embellisments. What is even better is that it comes with MDS2+! Well, if you haven't ordered MDS2+ look at what you are missing out on. Furthermore, you are missing out on the ability to recolor designer series paper. I am not particularly fond of More Mustard so I changed the designer series paper to Midnight Muse. I also changed the greeting and frame to Midnight Muse.

This is a very quick way to come up with a greeting card that has been quickly customized. Of course, you could click on create your own and take total creative responsibility. Check out the templates that come for the different shapes of cards and scrapbook pages. You might find several you love and use again and again. At least you will get ideas from Stampin' Up!'s concept artists. Let me know in a comment which card you like better, the designer one or my recolored one. If you choose to take the challenge to change around one of the designer cards in this kit and send me a photo of both the original and your customized one, I'll post it on this blog.

Tomorrow is Terrific Tuesday with new MDS2 downloads. Come back to see which ones I think are terrific.

Until next time…blessings,
