Laura's Birthday Card-001Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Twitterpated Kit (129332), Bring on the Cake Stamp Brush Set (124015), Fancy Fan Stamp Brush Set (127348). Perfect Label Punch (127340), Basic Pearls and Rhinestones (124330)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper this chilly Monday morning! For Craig, it is really cold…(17 degrees right now)…but it is sunny! Yay! I am really 'twitterpated' that one of the new downloads last Tuesday was the Twitterpated Digital Kit. Not only did we get the wonderful Twitterpated Designer Series Papers, but we also got the pleated ribbons and the Twitterpated buttons. That's so cool! I designed this card for a good cyber friend's birthday today. I am always procrastinating getting cards made and into the mail so My Digital Studio is perfect for creating digital cards that can be sent quickly by email. Have you purchased My Digital Studio? Why not give it a try right now. You can either order the full software program on DVD here or order My Digital Studio Express and choose the DVD or the digital download. In any case, I am here to help you get started and to answer any questions you might have. If I don't have the answer, I will do my best to get it for you.

Thanks for coming to visit today. Please do take time for a virtual cup of tea or coffee with me and browse my other posts. I look forward to meeting you here tomorrow to share the new digital downloads Stampin' Up! gives us.

Until the next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – Back to Basics

MDS Monday 1-9-12-001Stamp Set: Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Brush Set using Always Artichoke color
Paper: Textile Designer Series Paper in Almost Amethyst

Our challenge for this Monday as a member of the Utah Divas International My Digital Studio Monday design team was to use a stamp set that came on the original software disc. I carried that challenge to the letter and only used things that are listed as being on the original disc in the MDS catalog. Wow! Looking back, there were just a few things available. There were just two designs of Designer Series Paper, and no punches or embellishments other than Alpine ribbon. At the time we were all very excited because this was a new opportunity for creating digitally. However, we did have the vision and hope of things to come and Stampin' Up!'s design team has done an outstanding job of creating new downloads almost every week. Thanks, Stampin' Up!

The beautiful new Occasions Mini Catalog is now up and running. There is a hostess benefit called Simple Snapshots Content CD that contains 15 Designer Series Paper Patterns, 32 embellishments, and a 22 piece stamp brush set. On pg 12 is a Twitterpated Swatchbook Designer Template download (125615) and on pg 36 is the Sweet Shop Trifold Card Designer Template digital download (125617). Check these out and then order them either from me by clicking on the link or from your local demonstrator. Do come back tomorrow to see the weekly new downloads.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – Happy New Year!

MDS Monday 1-2-12-001

Supplies used: My Digital Studio (118108), Torn Edges – hand torn (118846), Anchored – stars (124581), All Holidays (118825), Basic Pearls and Rhinestones (124330)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper this first Monday of 2012. I wish you and your family the best in 2012! I created this New Year's card just for you, my faithful readers. Can you guess how I created the sunrise and pink snowfields on the mountains at the bottom of the card? This is a view that we often see here in SE Alaska, especially up in Haines where we lived for 8 years prior to moving to Craig. Our livingroom windows looked across Lynn Canal to exactly the same view as is in this card.

I happily stumbled onto this as I was playing with the Hand torn stamp of the Torn Edges Stamp Brush Set. I changed the drop shadow to Pink Passion and increased the blur to full and opacity to 100%. The actual stamp is Night of Navy like the background. I'm not sure why the background is not quite as dark as the torn edges stamp but it works well for me. The falling stars are my attempt to create a fireworks display for the new year.

I love the effects I can get with My Digital Studio! If you are ready to give it a try, there are two options for you…no…there are three options. First you can purchase the complete software on a DVD by clicking here. Second, you can order My Digital Studio Express. This software is a download. It contains all the necessary programs to run My Digital Studio but has less digital content in the way of stamps, papers, and embellishments. Those things can be upgraded at a later time if you desire. You still get plenty to start creating digitally with the My Digital Studio Express. The third option works if you already have image editing software that supports jpeg or png extensions and multiple layers. Then you can just download individual files you like and use them with your other software. You can purchase these files here in my Stampin' Up! online store.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I create with some of the new downloads from Stampin' Up! The January edition of The Soggy Stamper Newsletter will be published tomorrow as well. If you like the work I have been doing and would like to receive exclusive projects for your creative pleasure, subscribe to my newsletter by filling out the box to the right.

Until the next time…blessings,

Merry Christmas Everyone!

O Holy Night-001 copy

Nancy Dawson CASEd this punch art card from Geraldine Andrade and I CASEd it using My Digital Studio. I used a variety of punches and colors to come close to the Nancy'sl card. Since punches in My Digital Studio can be resized, I used that feature to put stars in the sky instead of using circles. You can see Nancy's card here.

I pray that you are having a joyful Christmas with family and friends. Do take time in the midst of all the festivities to reflect on our greatest gift of all, God's Son, Jesus!

Terrific Tuesday

Mocha Morning-001 copy

My Digital Studio (118108), Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper (129008), Hugs and Kisses Punch (129014), Antique Brads Pack (122164), font Kokonor size 20

Yesterday was a terrific Tuesday in several ways. My husband has been suffering from severe back pain from spinal stenosis for quite some time. Yesterday he had surgery to fix this. The surgery went well and the pain in his hips and legs is gone! This is a wonderful Christmas present for both of us as I have stressed over how much he hurt but wouldn't take anything for the pain. He has a little pain from the incision site but it is nothing like what he has been experiencing over the last year.

While I sat in the waiting room and sat with him in his room after the surgery, I got some serious knitting done on a Christmas present for one of our great-granddaughters. That was also terrific since she is visiting our daughter where we are also visiting. Now I won't have to knit surreptiously within her eyesight.

Finally, yesterday was a terrific Tuesday because Stampin' Up! released four wonderful downloads. Click here to see them and order the ones you know you gotta have. :o) I used the wonderful Mocha Morning designer series paper – 3 to fill a punch I created from the Medallion background stamp. I also used the Hugs punch which is one of the new downloads.

Here is a tip for you: if you can't find a particular punch or stamp set or you want to know what specific items like snowflakes have been downloaded, use the search feature in the buttons along the top tool bar.

I could not find the Hugs and Kisses punches in My Digital Studio yesterday after repeatedly installing them. I knew they were on my computer because the 'inspector' feature of a Mac could find them and the path showed that they were in My Digital Studio under Labels and Tags. They just wouldn't appear there. Finally, this morning, I got the brilliant idea of using the search feature of the 'add punch' button on the top tool bar. It turns out that those two punches got installed into a separate file under Labels and Tags. Now that file folder shows up if I double click on Labels and Tags in the browse button on the Resource Palette.

I hope everyone has safe travels over this holiday season and that you are able to enjoy them with family and friends. Come back tomorrow to see the Happy Hanukkah card I have created for my Jewish friends.

Until next time…blessings,

Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – Merry Christmas!

MDS Monday 12-19-11-001
Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this Monday before Christmas. Have you finished all your cards and have them in the mail? I haven't even begun to make my hands-on cards much less get them mailed! Therefore, this digital card will be the way I share Christmas greetings this year.

Did you know that you can fill a punch with designer series paper even when there is a large image on the paper? I filled a square punch stretched to a rectangle with the pattern 10 of the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper. This paper has a large image in the upper left-hand corner of the paper. All I had to do to get it into my punch was to first fill the punch with the paper. All I could see was stripes at the time. Then I double clicked on the punch and moved the paper around to get the corner in the punch. The image was too big to fit so I used the negative magnifying glass to shrink the image to the desired size.

Supplies:
My Digital Studio (118108)
Holly Berry Boquet Designer Series Paper – pattern 10 (part of Holly Berry Bouquet Digital Kit (127773)
Perfect Label Punch (127340)
Bells and Boughs Stamp Brush Set from Deck the Halls Photocard Digital Kit (122176)
Basic Pearls and Rhinestones (124330)
Cherry Cobbler grosgrain ribbon knot from 1/4" Ribbon Knot in Basic Colors digital download(118856)

If you are in need of any of these supplies or even other downloads, you can either click on the item name or visit my online store. My store is open 24/7. While you are there be sure to check out the Clearance Rack Blitz going on right now. You can get deep discounts but only while quantities last!

Thanks for coming by to visit today. Do come back tomorrow to check out the new downloads.

Until next time…blessings,
