My Digital Studio – Terrific Tuesday

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner on this Terrific Tuesday. Tuesdays are so exciting because Stampin' Up! releases new digital downloads for My Digital studio on Tuesdays. Here is the link for today's downloads: Download MDS_Downloads_-_Oct_25

Christmas_2011_Dasher-001

I have a special treat for you today. A good friend and loyal follower of this blog, Dorothy Cordes, sent me this card she created yesterday. I have not been a fan of the Christmas Jingle Designer Series Paper because it is too retro for my tastes. However, Dorothy's use of it in this card has made me reconsider my position. It is just right for this card! Dorothy also used the digital download of Dasher. Thanks for sharing with us, Dorothy. Any of you other readers who would like to see your work shared on my blog just send me a card and I will be happy to post it.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – I Love Designer Series Papers

Sample-002
Our challenge on the design team for Utah Divas International MDS Monday was to use multiple designer series papers. This is an easy assignment for me! You should see all the designer series papers I have stashed in my stamping room!

I have made this quilted pattern with a variety of designer series papers with hands-on paper crafting and devised a way to do it digitally. I love, love, love the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper and was so happy it was one of the new My Digital Studio downloads last Tuesday. Here is my digital version of the technique. Instead of using the Top Note punch most commonly used, I used my favorite Perfect Label punch. I am really hoping that it will be coming out as a punch in next year's catalog. I also used the Flag punch for the greeting from A Cardinal Christmas. The black dots are from the Hip and Handsome Overlays. I really wanted to get a quilted look on the squares but settled for the dots all over the card. I should have added them to the quilt squares before I imported them into the punch. To order the supplies needed for this card, visit my online store or click on the item names in the supply list.

Supplies:
My Digital Studio (118108)
Holly Berry Bouquet Kit (127773)
Hip and Handsome Overlays Stamp Brush Set (125753)
A Cardinal Christmas Stamp Brush Set (123966)
Flag Punch (125785)
Perfect Label Punch (127340)

Thanks for coming by to visit today. Tomorrow is Terrific Tuesday when I share the link to the new downloads released each week. You won't want to miss them and they are really hard to find on the Stampin' Up! site. So come check them out here.

Until then…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Button, Button

Button Button-001

Our theme for this My Digital Studio Monday was to pile on the buttons. I just had to use a picture of a great-granddaughter who is 'cute as a button". :o) I discovered that over the last couple years that I have owned My Digital Studio, I have downloaded at least four button files so I used several of them on this scrapbook page.

Supplies:

My Digital Studio (118108)
Christmas Cheer Designer Series Paper #4 from Christmas Cheer Digital Kit download (123596)
Simple Letters Alphabet Punch (1271660 filled with Christmas Cheer Designer Series Paper #1

Button Boquet (118866)

Thanks for coming to visit My Digital Craft Corner today. Be sure to go to my online store if you want to order any of the downloads I have used and come back here tomorrow for a link to the My Digital Studio downloads released tomorrow.

Holy Smokes!!!

Stampin' Up! has really upped the ante! Sign up to be a demonstrator during the month of October and you will be given a FREE Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine! Check out this video.

How exciting is that?!! I would love to have you join my team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

I enjoy being a demonstrator so much because it feeds my creative needs and I get to spend time with stampers who are the best friends, even those I haven't met yet.The really cool thing is that Stampin' Up! lets you determine the level of business activity you want. This really appeals to me because I work full time at school so don't have tons of time to work on my business. However, during the summer, I can devote more time to my business. When I retire, I plan to make this business my only job. What a wonderful job it will be….stamping all the time.

Contact me so I can help you decide how this is the business for you! If you already know you want to be a demonstrator and can't wait to get your starter kit, you can sign up through my online store by clicking here.

Until the next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio – Terrific Tuesday

You & Yours Photocard
It is 10 p.m. here in Alaska, but it is still Tuesday so I am technically posting this feature on the right day! I was excited to see the new My Digital Studio downloads for today. Here is the link for these new downloads. Download MDS_Downloads_-_Oct_11  I chose to share with you the You & Yours Christmas Photocard Template. I love the colors on it and the subtle background. The picture I wanted to put on the card did not fit in the photo box in the template so I deleted that one and added my own photo box which fit the photo. This picture was taken last Christmas after our family Christmas dinner. Our son-in-law found an old video of the song Jingle Bells with the 'bouncing ball'. Everyone had a handful of jingle bells and we shook them as we sang the song. Boy did the little ones enjoy that!!!

Designer templates are a very quick and easy way to create your Christmas cards. All you have to do is drop in a photo like I did and your card is ready for the printer. However, your creativity isn't limited to just that. All the components of the template are downloaded in individual files as well so you can use them on any project you wish.

Check out the new downloads from today, then visit my online store to order the ones you know you need to have. Thanks for stopping by today and…

…let the Christmas creating begin!

          Basic Template                                         Embellished Template

Our topic today was to take a My Digital Studio designer template and tweak it to make it our own. I created this card from the Holly Berry Designer Card Template and shared it in August but wanted to bring it back for today because I love it so much. I know you will love it too. I added a satin ribbon and two rhinestone embellishments to the card. There really wasn't much else I wanted to change from the original template. This template makes a beautiful hybrid card. Just print out the template then add the ribbon and rhinestones in 3-D. To place your order for this template and the embellishments, just click on the item name and you will be taken to my online store.
