Oh my goodness…I am blown away by the beautiful designer series papers in this collection! The collection also has a punch, embellishments, and a large stamp brush set. Oh, do I like Tuesdays! This is the day that Stampin' Up! releases new digital downloads for My Digital Studio. I always get up in anticipation of seeing what cool things I can download to use in my digital designing. This week did not disappoint me. Since my husband and I are about to embark on an extended RV trip with our two dachshounds, I just HAD to get the Fifty Nifty Kit! When I saw the thumbnail in the PDF of this week's downloads, I was sorry to see that Alaska and Hawaii were not included in the thumbnail but I bought the download anyway. I was not disappointed! Since we are selling our Alaskan home and putting everything (almost…not all my stamps for sure!) in storage, I decided we needed to get our long-overdue Christmas letter mailed out. We plan to travel in our 5th wheel trailer for about 9 months before we settle down once again. That is why I think this card is so clever and appropriate! I created this very hybrid card to go with the letter. The Alaskan Mobile Home image is from a stamp I bought maybe 15 years ago. I stamped and colored the image with watercolor crayons. Then I scanned it into my computer and inserted into the Photobox – 11 punch. I used a slightly larger punch colored with Night of Navy as a mat. Then I added the rest of the card. Finally, I printed it out and mounted it on Peach Parfait cardstock.

Retiring Stamps

Every May, Stampin' Up! sends out a list of stamp sets that will no longer be carried in the catalog. The list this year is a little longer due to changes in the catalog and mini catalog program. Click on the link above to see and download the list. If you are like me, you have some stamp sets that you have wanted but havwn't ordered yet. Now is your last chance to get some of them. Beginning June 1st they won't be available so look over the list and check it twice. Then visit my online store to place your order.

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner here in SE Alaska. Our design team assignment over on Utah Divas International was to create using Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade and Basic Black. I took the liberties of adding Whisper White to the color scheme. I started with the idea of having just one Labels Collection punch filled with Lucky Limeade. Then I remembered that two are better than one so I layered a smaller black one over the Lucky Limeade one. That reminded me of a cameo so I stamped the girl swinging in the tree from the Forever Young stamp brush set in Whisper White on the black label. The image is very large so you need to shrink it down a lot to make it fit. The Happy Birthday is from the Bring on the Cake stamp brush set and I typed the bottom greeting using Segoe Script 20 pt.
