Let It Ride Meets #simplestamping

photo of a handstamped card using Let It Ride stamp setIf you are a beginner in rubber stamping, you may be overwhelmed with all the supplies and techniques you see on the internet. It can be quite confusing, that’s for sure! Stampin’ Up! has put out a challenge to their demonstrators to create simple cards using the hashtag #simplestamping. Now THIS can be difficult for us because we are so used to adding embellishments and making fancy cards. Often thought simple cards can be quite elegant and stunning. Do a Pinterest search by putting ‘clean and simple cards’ in the search box and see what you get. There is a saying ‘SIP’ which stands for stamps, ink, and paper. That is all you really need to make a card.

This card was created for December’s Coffee and Card event I hold at a local coffee shop each month using the Let It Ride stamp set. Since it is not held in my studio, the design needs to not use a lot Shaded Spruce cardstock for the card base and a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Crumb Cake cardstock. We stamped the horse image with Soft Suede ink, the trees with Shaded Spruce ink, and the saying with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. This card is a great one to send as an encouragement to someone and works equally well for a man or a woman. You can order the supplies to make this card by clicking on the images below. That will take you to their location in my online store.
