Beautiful Pop Out Greeting Card

this is a beautiful pop out greeting card created with Delicate Dreams Suite Products

This beautiful pop out greeting card is created with products from the Delicate Dreams Suite of products being released in the March Online Exclusives. Although the camera is not able to capture the full beauty of the bronze foil, trust me, the Delicate Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper is gorgeous. When you open the card, the fun begins!

the Beautiful Pop Out Greeting Cardnopened

As you open the card, a greeting slides out the bottom and the focal image pops out. While it looks complicated, it really is easy to make. There are several pieces to the card and some scoring that is straight forward but not complicated to put together. The Specialty papers I used are not available until March 3. Beautiful Autumn Toile Side-step Card

photo is of a beautiful autumn toile side-step card

I love this 5″ x 7″ beautiful Autumn Toile Side-step card! While I was not very excited about the Autumn Toile Designer Series paper (165882) at first, I find I have used it more and more and love the cards that are the result. Part of what makes this card so beautiful is the gorgeous Earthen Toned Metallic Paper (165901). I used it as a layer behind the dsp layers and the shine adds an elegant touch. I stamped, colored, and die-cut the focal point with one of the images in the Amber Autumn Bundle (165893).

Supplies used for the Beautiful Autumn Toile Side-step Card

  • Amber Autumn Bundle
  • Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper – 1 piece 2 1/8″ x 2 5/8″, 2 pieces 2 1/8″ x 2 7/8″
  • Earthen Toned Metallic Paper – 1 piece 2 3/8″ x 2 7/8″, 2 pieces 2 1/8″ x 2 7/8″, 1 piece 1 7/8″ X 6 7/8″
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock – 7″ x 10″ for card base, 1 piece 1 3/4″ x 6 3/4″, scrap for focal image
  • Blender Pens – Light Poppy Parade, Light Crumb Cake, Light Pecan Pie
  • Ink – Pecan Pie Classic Ink Pad
  • Paper Trimmer and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine either large or mini
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • For Your convenience I have put these items in a shopping cart on my online store. You can remove any item you already have. Thanks for ordering from me. An order of $60 or more during the month of October will get a free Gift with Purchase.

I got the instructions originally from Craftykarendesigns 5 years ago and created this gorgeous Christmas card.

Christmas card created with the same tutorial used for the beautiful Autumn Toile Side-step card.

I modified them a bit for this post for clarification. While the scoring, cutting, and folding are a bit fussy, you will love the end result. You can download the directions here.

Beautiful Debossed Traditional Wreath Card

handmade Christmas Card created with inking the debossed side of the Traditional Wreath 3D embossing folder

I created this beautiful debossed traditional wreath card using the Traditional Wreath 3D embossing folder that is a part of the stunning Traditions of Christmas Suite (165877) found on pages 21 – 27 in the September – December 2025 Mini Catalog. This is a large embossing folder that creates a 6″ x 6″ square card if you use the whole wreath.

I stumbled onto this design while I was playing with the embossing folder and inked up the embossing folder with ink before embossing a piece of cardstock. Inking the depressed side of the folder results in the background being colored with the raised portions being mostly white. Then I sponged the ink into the depressed portions of the debossed side and came up with the above image. I love the way it turned out. For texture and interest on the bow, I die cut it out of one of the designs of the beautiful Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Supplies needed for this beautiful debossed Traditional Wreath card

  • Traditional Labels Bundle (165865)
  • Christmas Greenery Dies (165870)
  • Traditional Sparkling Sequins (165875)
  • Basic White Cardstock (166780) 6″ x 12″ scored and folded at 6″, 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″
  • Real Red Cardstock (102482) 5 7/8″ x 5 7/8″
  • Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (167364) scrap of the solid red/gold
  • Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad (147084)
  • Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad (147090)
  • Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder (165874)
  • Sponge Daubers (133773)
  • Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653)
  • Stampin’ Seal (152813)
  • For your conveniencelick on this link for a shopping cart filled with these products. You can delete any you already have.

Technique for Beautiful Debossed Traditional Wreath Card

  • Sponge Old Olive ink into the depressed side of the embossing folder just in the area of the wreath. Then add Basic White cardstock and emboss with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.
  • Adhere the layers with Stampin’ Seal
  • Use the bow die from the Christmas Greenery dies to cut a bow from the scrap of Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. (I love the gold foiling!) Apply to wreath.
  • Stamp greeting with stamp from the Traditional Labels stamp set with Real Red ink.
  • Add Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

Since this card is 6″ x 6″, it will be difficult to buy an envelope to fit. Here is a tutorial to make an envelope from designer series paper or lightweight cardstock.

Beautiful Fence Fancy Fold Card

I love the way this Fence Fancy Fold card turned out. It is a Z-fold card with 3/4″ strips forming the Z part of the card. While it looks difficult, It really isn’t. The most difficult part is cutting and gluing the pieces of designer series paper. Here is another view of the card.

Easy Slider Gift Card

Easy Slider Gift Card created with Storybook Moments dsp

This easy slider gift card holder can also hold a teabag or just be a fun greeting card. Depending of the designer series paper you use, it can be for a baby shower, bridal shower, everyday greeting card or a masculine card. While the cute little mouse would not be very masculine, adding a flower pot or gardening gloves would change it into a more masculine card. The fun part is when you open the card.

I was happy to find out today that this Storybook Moments designer series paper and the corresponding Storybook Friends bundle are not retiring, at least not yet. Check out all the darling designs of this paper and the images of the Storybook Friends bundle.

Last Chance Products Time

image is of the Last Chance Products Time

Last Chance Products Time has come. It’s necessary to move out the old to make room for the new products coming in the Jan – April 2024 Mini Catalog. Now is the time to order those stamps, bundles, papers, and accessories you have been eyeing in the fall mini catalog. A few items are carrying over to next year but most will retire. Most importantly, even those stamps and dies that carry over into the next catalog sales period will no longer be bundled together. Now is the time to order the bundles and save 10%.

Since items will sell out quickly, the best policy is to shop now while there is still inventory. You can access the Carryover list here and the Last Chance items list here. Then go over to my online store to order. That way you will know if something is still available.

A New Twist on the Shutter Card

This photo is of a new twist on a shutter card created with Country Floral Designer Series paper.

Here is a new twist on the shutter card. It is called a seesaw shutter card and is very much like a trifold shutter card, the score and fold lines are just changed around. It looks complicated but it really is quick and easy to make. I first saw this fancy fold in a post on Facebook by Lavonne Schwendeman. She even shared a diagram on how to cut and score it. Thanks, Lavonne!

This paper is from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper (160375). I hadn’t used this design yet and thought it would be perfect with the bicycles lined up along the middle but had to cut it carefully so the bicycles were in the center. The card base is Balmy Blue. I like the blue edges but Basic White cardstock for the base would make folding the score lines easier. It is a bit lighter in weight.

Start out by adhering a solid piece of the dsp to the card base before doing any cutting or scoring. You could layer the dsp after cutting and folding but calculating the measurements and shapes would be a big challenge. This way is much easier. Then I cut and scored and folded according to the diagram below. (Diagram is not to scale, sorry!) All that is left to do is add any additional elements desired.

Template for the new twist on a shutter card. It's a seesaw shutter card.

The solid lines are cut lines and dotted are score lines. V=valley fold, M=mountain fold. The size of the piece is 8″ x 4 14″. This new twist on the shutter card will fold up to fit a medium envelope.

Supplies Used for a New Twist on the Shutter Card

  • Balmy Blue Cardstock 8″ x 4 1/4″, 3″ x 1 3/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock 3″ x 2″. scraps for the hearts

Beautiful Fancy Flora Fancy Fold Card

photo is of the beautiful Fancy Flora Fancy Fold card

This beautiful Fancy Flora fancy fold card was a cinch to make and turned out so wonderfully! Three scored lines and two cutting lines are all it takes for create the card base. Then adding pieces of the Fancy Flora designer series paper (160413) to decorate it creates the beauty. The focal point is a beautiful die-cut label using the Sentimental Park dies (160566). Unfortunately, the greeting is unavailable as it is from the retired 2022 SAB set Special Moments. You can easily substitute a greeting from the Sentimental; Park stamp set (160561) or any other greeting set that fits on the label. Here is a vertical view of the card and the back side. The white area is for handwriting a message and signing the card.

And here is a top view of the card.

Top view of the Beautiful Sentimental Park Pop-Up Card

This Sentimental Park Bundle caught my attention as soon as I opened the January – April Mini catalog because of the beautiful label dies. The floral corners of the dies are beautiful. A very cool thing I discovered when I first used the dies is that the the inside edge of the floral bundles is cut so that the smaller straight-edged label nestles inside the larger floral one. Sooo cool!

Rings of Love Fancy Fold Card

photo shows Rings of Love Fancy Fold Card using Sweet Songbirds stamp set and punch

Making this Rings of Love Fancy Fold card is really quite easy! Start with a Crumb Cake cardstock base. Then add a layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and the beautiful Rings of Love designer series paper that will be free during Sale-a-bration for a $50 purchase.

I stamped the branch, leaves, and nest on crumb cake cardstock with Soft Suede and Parakeet Party ink and fussy cut them out. The bird was stamped on a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Starry Night ink stamped off once and the wing with full strength Starry Night ink. I stamped the belly with Daffodil Delight ink and colored the beak with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend. When I finished coloring the bird, I punched it out with the Songbird Builder Punch. Next I adhered the branch with the nest and the bird to the front of the narrow upright strip of cardstock. The finishing step was to stamp the greeting and then adhere this piece to the cardbase.

Supplies Used for Rings of Love Fancy Fold Card

  • Sweet Songbirds Bundle
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 1 1/4″ mountain fold), 2 1/2″ (valley fold), 5 1/2″ (mountain fold); 8 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ scored at 4 1/4″ (mountain fold); scrap fro nest and branch

Double Box Fancy Fold Card

Handmade Christmas Card using the Double Box fancy fold and Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper

I love fancy folds and this double box fancy fold card is easy and fun to make. The October Paper Pumpkin’ kit had pre-printed cards with this image on both the front and the back of the card. It is such a beautiful image with the snowy evergreen trees and the silver snowflakes that I couldn’t see using the patterned paper for the back of the card. So I cut the cards in half, added card bases from cardstock I had, and made twice the number of cards. That is what is on the front of this card.

However, you can still make this card even if you didn’t get the October Paper Pumpkin’ kit because the Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper found in the July – December mini catalog has a design just like the card in the kit. The kit was designed to coordinate with the Peaceful Place Suite of products. I love it when Stampin’ Up! designs products this way!

The back of this Double Box fancy fold card is where you can write your message and sign the card.

If you have been following me, you know that I love fancy fold cards and this Clever Cats Slide & Lock card is one of my favorites. I love the Clever Cats stamp set (156490) found in the July – December mini catalog. The fancy fold part of this card is that the label slides out to allow the recipient to open the gatefold card.
